Wild Primrose (Primula vulgaris) (08/03/2024) Horton Wood, Small Dole, Henfield, W Sussex. The classic wild primrose colour. This is the "pin-eyed" version wherby the stigma is visible. The other version is the thrum-eyed version (later images). Pin and Thrum cross-polinate, producing more seed than pollination by a flower of the same type.
